I am no stranger to this posture. There have been many instances in my life where I have felt like a 100 dollar bill that was wadded up and discarded on the ground. While some protective behaviors are still in place, I am continually reminded that my value as a human cannot be diminished by someone else. I have control behind the assessment of who I am.

CRUMPLED is composed of a concrete and gypsum coating over a natural fiber sub-state, permanently attached to a wire mesh foundation and set in a wood frame. The crumpled structure reflects the instinctive tendency to crumple and recoil in a response to danger or harm. It also reflects our diminished self-esteem as a result of hurtful experiences.
